so Doug sent me this link to help raise funds for the Seattle artist ken Kelly, i donated this big bloodscape painting and Parris placed it in the primo above the bar location and apparently they had a bidding war but i had to leave after my escort and i ran out of small talk options

this painting sold for 475.oo so now you know the true retail value of my work, buy art or die !

father and son surf board art movie

this is the second surf board that father & son doodled- the first is my personal long board- which i ride the crap out of at la push and Hobuck and other tiny beach breaks-

now i wish i had Scott Rowley build this board a little bigger so i could ride it- damn- i might never be strong enough to ride this six foot sluggy egg -

the art is actually drawn on to the first layer of glass and then the board is glass again - and then a super shiny gloss coat is applied

this is the board that hung in the window at KMOCA, and made it look like Kingston, New York's only surf shop

this is a stack of unfinished post cards- after i have spent most of yesterday painting backgrounds- salt and water

this weekend in the van living alone the wife and kids have left me- while drawing postcards i have thought it would be a funny idea to try/just make an attempt at a show of one million paintings-

i tried to paint a million-

would i have to build a larger studio-give up my future day job ?

but i don't even think i could afford that many postcards to paint on. they cost about $5.00 for twenty, i know i could buy them cheaper in bulk, is there even enough water in the world for such a stupid attempt- here goes-

this is the cause of my painters block, i know, i know life is hard for me, worried about my finger painting while the world around me crashes and burns, but shit, this is a commissioned piece for the lovely Suja and Richard, a wedding gift, which must be created with love, and weighs heavy on my shoulders, but i am almost done. i really like these two pieces

the reason that these paintings are so hard is that, i have already painted 1400 of them, have had four shows with them, two hundred of the best are hanging in Poughkeepsie, NY, at a place called SoulDog, a vegan gluten free bakery lunch spot. go there now, buy 200 paintings,

so this show is difficult, my hands aren't used to painting this small, had to quit drinking coffee, couldn't find double0 liner brushes, i've been obsessed with physical fitness

and apparently i am not a dog person, or a pet person- the dogs in my back yard have sent me into a deep weekend sadness- which i can't get out of- crazy right- that two furry beasts could illicit such grump-

they push over the kids, shove them down the stairs, jump on the counter top and chew on the butter, they shit on every square inch of lawn and garden which has been turned into dirt fields.

one of them even eats my bike and van tires, what the fuck

and yet i paint them- i must be mad, nice party huh, some nut complaining about dogs- maybe someone should take me for a walk-

now with bigger art, slaps your face and smacks those cocktails out of your hand, what are you doing drinking so much at your age, what's the matter, haven't you figured out how to live with yourself-

you know there are somethings in the ocean you just shouldn't see, that's why i wouldn't want to scuba dive where i surf, because no matter what anyone with a PHD tells you. the ocean is haunted and full of monsters, i know, for i have seen them-

once you become the old person you've been carrying around within yourself you can forget about music and being cute, smelling nice, and you can talk to birds and shit.

i know i always draw and paint images like this, i just can't help it, look how adorable she is, she's going to go swimming and dive with frogs and tadpoles, and plump hens, is she crying or have we just caught her spitting in a newts eye-
